WELCOME TO MY WORLD.!

As the founder and operator of Elite Therapy, there is a lot to be grateful for. What you all are now witnessing has been years in the making. After going through my healing process privately on my eat-pray-love, kneeling before God with my ugly cry, and transforming myself into what you now see, I stand tall as a proud woman, mommy, boss, and licensed psychotherapist. A lot comes with those titles individually, but combining them is even more to bear, but to much is given,…. you know the rest.

I’ve loved psychology since I was a young girl. I had big dreams but was too afraid to say them out loud out of fear of being judged or bullied. Yes, I was bullied when I was young, and it, like most people, had a lasting effect on me. I developed ways to protect myself and created the worst habit, caring too much about what others think of me. The fear of being judged was enough to hide my gifts and talents. I’ve always been a private person, but if you know me or know of me, you know I am a complete fool. I LOVE to laugh and have a good time. If you know me from previous jobs or school, you might know me to be a bit serious about my studies and coins, but overall, to know me is to love me. I am so flawed, and in the past, I’ve been consumed with imposters syndrome doubting everything about myself.

My clients know how seriously I take mental health and how much respect I have for mental illness. It doesn’t care who you are or what you have. ANYONE can have mental illness and struggle with mental health. I would not be the person I am today without God and those God placed in my life at the right time. Joseline Frank (mom, teacher, realtor, mentor) inspired me to look at the world differently. My uncle Isaiah was the only one to convince me to go to college after I had already enlisted in the US Army. Dr. Coleman convinced me not to drop out of undergrad, Dr. Lisa Tropez- Arceneaux, and complete baddie (IYKYK), (Dr. Brumfield, Dr. Breaux (XULA professors who are everything), Dr. Wendy Durant, board-approved supervisor, great multitasker, and Veronica Mollere of Well Psychotherapy, my mentor and business coach.

As a mom of a two and a four-year-old, my cup is full, and with Elite Therapy, my cup is runneth over. Every time I get the opportunity to engage in therapy, supporting my clients through their journey of healing, I know my purpose is being fulfilled, and every day I walk in my purpose, it feels good.

Thank you to anyone who has ever had anything to do with my success.
